What DoubleVerify does
DoubleVerify checks, for advertisers, whether their ads were seen by real people in suitable places. It has been listed on the New York Stock Exchange since 2021.
For years verification vendors could not see inside Google's search partner network. That changed in April 2025, when Google announced that advertisers could use third-party exclusion lists from DoubleVerify, Integral Ad Science and Zefr to keep search ads off partner sites they consider unsuitable. For the first time an outside company could influence which arbitrage and partner pages receive search ads.
On 6 August 2026 Nielsen agreed to buy DoubleVerify for $13.60 a share in cash, an enterprise value of about $2.15 billion. The deal was still pending when this page was last checked, and the shares still trade.
How it makes money
Fees from advertisers and platforms, mostly charged per thousand ads measured or filtered.
Where it meets invalid traffic
Measures GIVT and SIVT under MRC standards and sells pre-bid filters. On search partners its role is brand suitability: a curated list of sites to exclude.

Earnings, explained
DoubleVerify Q2 revenue up 3%, Nielsen to acquire company
DoubleVerify reported second quarter 2026 revenue of $193.8 million, a 3% increase from the prior year. Net income was $12.9 million, and adjusted EBITDA reached $65.3 million, representing a 34% margin. The company ended the quarter with a cash balance of $210 million and no debt. DoubleVerify announced it will be acquired by Nielsen and has withdrawn all financial guidance during the transaction period.
DoubleVerify continues to grow modestly, especially in measurement and supply-side revenues, but faces headwinds in activation. The pending acquisition by Nielsen signals consolidation in the ad verification space and may impact future strategy.
