AI-generated content

AI-generated content is text, images or video produced by an AI model, used in search arbitrage to create article landers and ad creatives quickly and cheaply.

The short answer, from the The Arbitrage Desk glossary

An arbitrage operation needs a great many pages and ads: a content page for each keyword theme, in each language, plus fresh creatives to fight ad fatigue. AI tools can now draft an article or produce an image in seconds, so most operators use them somewhere in the workflow.

Using AI is not itself against feed rules. What the rules judge is the result. Google's RSOC guidance requires pages with sufficient standalone value and rejects low-value content and pages with more ads than content. A thin, generic article fails that test whoever or whatever wrote it, and mass-produced pages are the classic profile of Made-for-arbitrage sites.

AI creatives carry their own risk. Generated images and headlines can invent facts, imitate real people or brands, or promise things the lander cannot deliver, which makes them a misleading ad. Under the referrerAdCreative rule, the exact wording of the ad must also be declared to Google.

The practical standard is human review: check facts, add something genuinely useful, make sure the ad and the page agree. AI lowers the cost of production, not the cost of being wrong.
