What happened to Bodis and Sedo parking?

Both were hit by Google's withdrawal of ads from parked domains. Bodis announced in late January 2026 that it would cease operating on 31 January 2026. Sedo, owned by IONOS, reported a 66% year-on-year revenue fall in the third quarter of 2025 and was put up for sale, with IONOS aiming to complete a sale during 2026.

Short answer · The Arbitrage Desk

Sedo is both a domain marketplace and a parking company, and reporting on the sale notes that the two parts are worth very different amounts. Its parking side moved customers toward Related Search on Content and other feeds. As of this writing no buyer has been publicly named.

Bodis told customers to move their domains elsewhere. Domain owners who relied on domain parking income now choose between smaller providers using Yahoo-based feeds, zero-click parking, developing a real site, or simply listing the name for sale. The speed of the collapse, from a routine income stream to closure in about 18 months, is a reminder that AdSense for Domains was a product Google could switch off.
