Is domain parking dead?
As a meaningful income for most domain owners, largely yes. Google's ads funded the bulk of parking revenue, and Google removed parked domains from its Search Partner Network on 10 February 2026 after opting advertisers out through 2025. Parking still exists through Yahoo-based feeds, direct advertisers and zero-click redirects, but trade reports describe earnings as a fraction of before.
The evidence is in what happened to the providers. Domain Name Wire reported revenue falling to "pennies on the dollar" after the final advertiser opt-outs in September 2025. Bodis closed. Sedo's parent reported a two-thirds revenue fall in one quarter and put the company up for sale. Team Internet reorganised around other businesses.
For a domain owner the options are a remaining parking provider, zero-click parking, building a real site, or holding the name purely for resale. Zero-click monetisation deserves caution, since redirecting visitors to whichever advertiser pays most has been linked by security researchers to scams and malvertising. Direct navigation traffic still has value, but AdSense for Domains is no longer there to pay for it.
