Search feeds · also called Yahoo search feed, YHS, Yahoo Hosted Search
Yahoo feed
A Yahoo feed is access to search results and search ads supplied by Yahoo to partner sites, apps and browser tools in return for a revenue share.
The Yahoo feed is the third main search feed in arbitrage. Yahoo offers partners several ways in. Yahoo Hosted Search (YHS) is a results page hosted by Yahoo, which it says is available in more than 30 countries. It comes fully hosted and co-branded, as an iFrame that keeps the partner's header and footer, or as a DNS version that monetises "page not found" errors. Yahoo Partner Ads lets a partner show Yahoo's results and ads on its own platform, and an XML feed delivers results as data for the partner to display.
Yahoo also describes distribution through default search settings, homepages, new tab pages and browser extensions, which ties it to browser extension search monetisation and the default search deal world.
Yahoo's search business has long been intertwined with Microsoft's. Microsoft's own advertiser help describes its syndicated network as including Yahoo search partners.
For domain owners, the Yahoo feed gained attention after Google ended ads on parked domains: domain trade press lists it among the alternatives parking companies turned to, while noting none is as lucrative as AdSense for Domains was.
