Can you use TikTok for search arbitrage?
Yes, TikTok is used as a traffic source and several feed providers approve it. It offers large volumes of inexpensive video views. The difficulties are that viewers are in entertainment mode and less likely to follow through, creatives wear out quickly, and under Google's rules the wording and spoken audio of the video must be transcribed and passed with the visit.
TikTok behaves like other paid social but faster. A video can find an audience within hours and fade within days, so creative testing is continuous. Younger audiences and low commercial intent in many categories pull RPV down, so the cheap CPC does not always translate into profit.
Compliance needs particular care with video. Google's referrerAdCreative definition covers on-screen text and audio transcripts, so a voiceover that promises more than the page delivers is visible to the feed. TikTok's own advertising policies restrict financial, health and employment claims. Snap, Pinterest and NewsBreak are used in similar ways, each with smaller volume and its own rules.
