Can you click your own search feed ads?

No. Clicking ads on your own pages, or asking friends, staff or visitors to click them, is prohibited by every search feed. Those clicks are invalid, cost advertisers money for nothing, and are easy to detect. Consequences range from deductions to permanent termination with earnings withheld. For testing, use the test modes or tools your provider supplies.

Short answer · The Arbitrage Desk

Self-clicking is the oldest form of click fraud. Detection is straightforward because the clicks share devices, addresses, accounts or behaviour with the publisher. Indirect versions are caught too: an incentivised click ("click an ad to support us"), rewards for clicking, or arrows and wording that push visitors toward the ads.

Accidents happen, and an occasional mistaken click will be filtered without drama. The risk is patterns. Teams should exclude office traffic from live ad serving where the feed supports it, never check revenue by clicking through, and brief contractors and writers. If you suspect invalid clicks on your account, tell your provider early; reporting a problem is treated very differently from hiding one.
