Team Internet opened a strategic review after the parked-domain collapse and is negotiating a sale of its domains business, which would leave a company centred on search monetisation. As of September 2026 talks were described as advanced with no deal signed.

GoDaddy → Marchex domain portfolio (200,000+ names) $28M (cash at closing, plus earn-outs)

Marchex sold for $28.1 million most of a portfolio it had paid about $164 million to start building in 2004. It marked how far the value of type-in traffic had fallen.
