Trustworthy Accountability Group (TAG)

Industry programme that certifies ad companies against fraud, malware and piracy.

USA · founded 2014 · tagtoday.net

What Trustworthy Accountability Group (TAG) does

TAG is a certification body created by the advertising trade associations to fight criminal activity in digital advertising. Companies that pass its checks can display seals such as Certified Against Fraud.

In search arbitrage the seals show up mainly on the traffic side. Native networks advertise TAG certification as evidence that their inventory is screened. A seal says a company follows a process. It does not guarantee that any particular click is genuine.

How it makes money

Membership and certification fees.

Where it meets invalid traffic

Its Certified Against Fraud programme requires members to filter invalid traffic and follow agreed anti-fraud practices.
