Why are my search ads showing on weird websites?

Because your campaign includes a search partner network. Search engines syndicate ads to third-party sites, including article pages with "related searches" boxes and keyword-list pages run by arbitrage publishers. When a visitor there clicks a search term matching your keyword, your ad can appear. You can review those placements, exclude specific sites, or opt out of search partners.

Short answer · The Arbitrage Desk

Seeing an unfamiliar domain in a report does not prove fraud. It usually means a syndication partner showed your ad to someone who picked a term related to your keyword. Broad match types widen this further, so check your search terms report and add a negative keyword where queries are off-target.

Then judge by results. If the clicks convert at an acceptable CPA, the odd-looking site is doing its job. If they do not, add a placement exclusion or use the advertiser opt-out. Persistent junk clicks, repeated clicks from the same devices or sudden spikes point to click fraud, which is worth raising with the platform and checking with an independent click-fraud tool.
