What is RSOC (Related Search on Content)?
RSOC stands for Related Search on Content. It is a Google AdSense for Search feature that places a block of suggested search terms on an article page. When a reader clicks a term, they see a results page on the same site with Google search ads. Since parked-domain ads ended, RSOC has been the main Google route for search arbitrage.
Google's own name is "related search for content pages". The Related Search on Content unit reads the article and proposes related search terms; publishers may also suggest terms through the terms parameter, which Google filters for relevance and performance. The click through to ads is a two-click flow.
For paid traffic there are conditions. The page must have standalone value, the advert that brought the visitor must describe the page accurately, and since 1 November 2025 its full text must be passed in referrerAdCreative. From August 2025 Google also limited features such as the number of terms and blocks per page for publishers not in good standing. Together these are the RSOC policies.
