Hackers use Google Ads and Bing redirects to spread fake Claude ClickFix attacks

· 23h ago · Originally reported by BleepingComputer

Presented byClearTrust· Traffic-quality scoring and ad-fraud prevention.

Attackers are buying Google Ads placements and chaining Bing redirects to route searchers to fraudulent Claude pages. Those pages use ClickFix-style social engineering, coaxing visitors into pasting malicious commands themselves. The campaign rides on paid search listings rather than organic results.

Why it matters

Malicious ads on Google and Bing pollute the paid-search ecosystem that arbitrage buyers, feed providers and platforms all depend on, inviting stricter ad review and tighter traffic-quality enforcement.

Explain it like I’m new here

It's like crooks renting a billboard outside a famous shop and sending customers to a fake twin store that tricks them into handing over their house keys.
