Meta Advantage+

Advantage+ is Meta's family of AI automation features that choose audience, placements, budget split and creative variations for Facebook and Instagram ads.

The short answer, from the The Arbitrage Desk glossary

Meta describes Advantage+ as a suite: end-to-end campaigns (for sales, app installs and leads) where the system automates audience, placement and budget together, plus single-step options such as Advantage+ audience or Advantage+ placements that automate one decision.

For a Social-to-search arbitrageur, Advantage+ is the default way Meta buys traffic today. The buyer no longer picks interests in detail. Instead the campaign starts with broad targeting and the algorithm narrows in on whoever produces the reported result. That makes the quality of the signal decisive: a campaign fed real feed revenue through the Conversions API learns to find visitors who click search ads, while one fed only page views learns to find cheap, idle clicks.

Automation also concentrates risk. The system may push spend into placements or countries the buyer would not have chosen, so operators still watch placement and Geo-targeting breakdowns and compare Meta's reported results with their own tracker.

Think of it like this

It is cruise control for ad buying: you set the destination and speed, the car handles the pedals, and you still need your hands near the wheel.
