How much money can you make with search arbitrage?

There is no typical figure. Margins on ad spend are thin, often single digits to low tens of percent on campaigns that work, and many campaigns lose money. Income therefore depends on how much you can spend profitably and for how long. Large operators turn over millions a month; many beginners finish their first months with a loss.

Short answer · The Arbitrage Desk

Profit is spend multiplied by ROI. As an illustration only, $1,000 a day at 15% ROI is $150 a day before tools, staff and clawbacks. The same spend at minus 10% is a $100 daily loss. The difficulty is that ROI is not stable. It moves with seasonality, auction prices on the traffic source and payout changes at the feed.

Public filings show how unforgiving this can be at scale. System1 reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $30.2 million, down 61% on the year, after Google changes hit its marketing business. Anyone quoting a monthly income figure without showing spend, finalised revenue and the months that went wrong is not giving you the full picture.
