How do you get a search feed?

Most people get one through a feed provider, a company that already has a syndication agreement and sub-licenses access. You apply, show your traffic sources, sites and sample adverts, and start under volume caps while your quality is assessed. A direct agreement with Google, Microsoft or Yahoo is reserved for established publishers with scale and a clean record.

Short answer · The Arbitrage Desk

Feed approval is a due-diligence exercise. Providers ask who you are, where the traffic comes from, what the creatives say and which verticals you plan to run. They do this because your behaviour puts their own agreement at risk. Expect traffic source approval for each source, a feed cap at first, and close monitoring of your early weeks.

Be wary of shortcuts. Rented or resold feed access with no questions asked is usually an unauthorised sub-syndication that can vanish without paying. A legitimate route takes longer: build real content pages, start with a provider's standard programme, keep deductions low, and let volume and terms improve with a track record.
